VERDE GENERAL CONTRACTING
Green Building & Sustainable Construction
Green Is In Our Name
Verde General Contracting was founded on the principles of sustainability and a common goal of being an eco-friendly company. We are dedicated to leaving the world a better place. Verde translates to green in Spanish and the green image is an emphasis our founder wanted to highlight. We want our clients to immediately know the type of company they are conducting business with.
Green construction is not only beneficial to the environment but also our clients. Green building and smart building are synonymous concepts. Building green is a great way to maximize value on initial materials and create cost savings for the lifetime of a home. It is not simply using recycled materials or minimizing waste but starts at the beginning of all our projects, aligning our goals with the homeowner to get exactly what they want in the most value-engineered way.
Energy efficiency is the main goal for most homeowners wanting to build green and understanding these goals from the start will allow us to suggest materials, fixtures and finishes including low E windows, foam insulation, smart thermostats and water-saving fixtures. Utilizing these solutions from the start of the project and keeping the client informed of their options during construction is all a part of our building process to give our clients the best product that supports both their efficiency needs and aligns with their budget. We believe the choices we make impact not only today, but also leave a legacy that will echo on for future generations.
Smart Thermostats
Many smart thermostats establish a schedule that automatically adjusts to energy-saving temperatures when you are asleep or away.
Spray Foam Insulation
Spray foam insulation can help reduce the workload on your HVAC system thanks to its high R-value and effectiveness.
Low-E Windows
Low-E windows are energy efficient because any material that reflects, absorbs, and emits radiant energy is going to save energy.
Occupancy Sensors
Occupancy sensors increase lighting energy savings by turning off or turning down the lights when rooms are unoccupied.
Other Measures
Our team will discuss other measures to increase your home’s energy efficiency and reduce your monthly energy bills.
